Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs - North Florida/South Georgia VA Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Radiologist-Assistant Chief to lead imaging services and contribute to an academic hospital program.

Ideal candidates will support quality care standards and the growth of the VA program, including resident and fellow supervision. The role requires board-certified radiology training, a full medical license in the United States, and prior leadership/teaching experience in a radiology

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved school
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in US
• Board eligibility/certification in Radiology
• Completion of radiology residency (ACGME/AOA) or 1 year intern/2 years post-training practice
• VA academia eligibility or board certification for faculty status
• Strong diagnostic radiology skills including radiography, fluoroscopy, US, CT, MRI

Responsibilities

• Supervise and teach residents and fellows in imaging services
• Direct oversight of imaging services across NFSG centers
• Monitor/organize imaging performance and staffing
• Oversee radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff
• Work schedule: standard weekday hours; may include shift variations
