Job summary

SMS National is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Lead in Florida to oversee the A/R team, drive aging reductions, and coach staff to achieve collections goals.

You will manage outbound calls, resolve complex invoices, and monitor performance metrics while promoting process improvements and accountability in a fast-paced healthcare billing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of A/R, collections, medical billing, or related experience.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Healthcare or workers’ compensation experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach employees and hold team members accountable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Job description

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is confident, persistent, organized, and results-driven. You’ll oversee daily collection activities, coach and develop team members, manage aging accounts, resolve billing and payment issues, and ensure outstanding balances are followed through to resolution.
