Job summary

Good Source Solutions is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting team in Carlsbad, CA. You will manage daily cash applications, collections, and reporting to help maintain healthy AR balances and accurate records.

The role requires 2+ years AR experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred). This is a full-time onsite position with opportunities to contribute across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, cash applications, collections, and general accounting practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and financial data analysis.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) preferred.
• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and organizational levels.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and customer information.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post daily cash receipts to customer accounts in a timely manner.
• Process customer credit card payments and ensure proper application of funds.
• Review, research, and resolve customer short payments, deductions, and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate customer account records, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Generate and distribute weekly and monthly customer statements.
• Support customer and vendor rebate administration, including tracking and reconciliation.
• Monitor outstanding accounts receivable balances and assist with collection efforts.
• Communicate with customers to resolve billing disputes, payment discrepancies, and overdue balances.
• Partner with the Sales team to investigate deductions and prepare Problem Order Forms (POFs).
• Perform customer credit evaluations for new and existing accounts.
• Review and approve sales order quotes in accordance with established credit and approval procedures.
• Build positive working relationships with customers while supporting timely payment collection.
• Assist with accounts receivable reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support interim and year-end audit requests by preparing documentation and reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts receivable processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and other departments to resolve account-related issues.
• Assist with additional accounting projects and departmental responsibilities as assigned.
