Job summary

ER Associates, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a hybrid, 3-month contract-to-hire role in Massachusetts. The role includes handling payments, reconciliation, and customer communications to ensure accuracy and timely cash flow.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in AR or related finance functions, strong Excel skills, and a detail-oriented, customer-focused approach. SAP/Power BI experience is a plus, with a collaborative finance team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or a related Finance role.
• Comfortable working in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with SAP, Power BI, or other accounting/ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help manage customer accounts, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, deductions, and payment disputes.
• Apply customer payments and match payments to outstanding invoices.
• Communicate with customers regarding account balances, payment status, and billing questions.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve account issues and gather necessary documentation; assist with collections follow-up and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile accounts and research unapplied or incorrectly applied payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with reporting.
• Support month-end activities and identify opportunities to improve processes.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Hybrid (Work from home Monday & Friday!)
Location: Onsite Tuesday-Thursday
Employment Type: 3-Month Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a collaborative finance team! This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in accounts receivable, billing, collections, cash applications, or general accounting who is looking to expand their experience and grow professionally.

You’ll work alongside experienced finance professionals, interact with different departments, and play an important role in keeping customer accounts accurate and payments running smoothly.
