Job summary

Total Comfort, in partnership with ARS, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for a full-time, year-round role in a high-volume billing environment. The position focuses on processing invoices, applying payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting month-end close in a collaborative team.

The role requires at least 2 years of AR experience, proficiency with billing software and Excel, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent accounts receivable experience required.
• Hands-on billing and payment application experience required.
• Experience handling high volumes of invoices and customer payments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process accurate customer invoices in a high-volume environment.
• Apply customer payments to the correct accounts and invoices.
• Research and resolve unapplied, short, and overpayments; fix discrepancies.
• Review accounts to ensure payments and credits post correctly.
• Reconcile AR transactions and maintain balances.
• Issue adjustments or credits as needed and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain billing/payment records and assist with month-end reporting.
• Generate daily/weekly billing and payment reports.
• Collaborate with operations and accounting to resolve issues promptly.
