Job summary

Synagro is seeking an Accounting Coordinator in Baltimore to coordinate and process the accounts receivable function. You will review billing documents for accuracy, resolve discrepancies with field staff, and prepare invoices per contract.

The role includes statements, adjustments, customer relations, and assisting month-end close and collections. Ideal candidates have 3–4 years AR experience, strong Excel/Outlook, and familiarity with NetSuite; HS diploma required, higher accounting coursework

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of AR experience.
• Knowledge of essential business applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• NetSuite knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review billing documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Resolve quantity or billing code discrepancies with the field prior to invoicing.
• Prepare weekly/monthly invoices per contract for all activity.
• Review contracts for billing requirements and set up new customers and codes.
• Create and mail monthly statements.
• Process credit/debit memos for invoice adjustments.
• Maintain customer relationships for billing and collections issues.
• Assist with month-end closing and accruals.
• Assist with weekly collections of accounts receivable.
