Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Naples, Florida, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable professional to manage daily revenue, deposits, and reconciliations. You will work within the Finance & Accounting Section, ensuring timely processing of receipts and compliance with state rules.

The role requires accuracy, independence, and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning invoicing, EFT postings, and collaboration with billing entities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic accounting functions, t-accounts, journal entries, debits and credits.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.
• Familiarity with accounting software and internal controls.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives daily revenue and receipts from all Department program areas.
• Reconciles revenues against reports and validates variances.
• Prepares daily bank deposits and maintains change for daily use.
• Posts EFTs, credit card payments, and insurance payments.
• Assists with monthly reconciliation and year-end financial statements.
