Job summary

W.C. Bradley Co. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Columbus, GA. You will manage cash inflows, ensure AR and cash balances are accurate, and partner with internal and external customers to improve related processes.

The role requires at least 3 years of cash management experience, strong Excel skills, SAP familiarity, and the ability to work independently while analyzing data and processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and post all customer payments (cards, electronic transfers, lockbox) accurately and promptly.
• Generate and send invoices, reminders, and customer statements.
• Monitor unapplied cash and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Respond to inquiries about payments and cash applications in a timely manner.
• Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with customers as needed.
• Improve cash applications efficiency with banking partners and IT.
• Support root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
• Maintain detailed records of transactions, adjustments, and communications.
• Research exceptions like overpayments or short payments and report findings.
• Analyze AR aging reports to identify problematic accounts and prioritize collections.
• Cross-train with team members to cover all AR functions.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
