Symetri is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our US finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role suits a numbers-driven professional who can work proactively in a fast-paced office.

Responsibilities

• Post incoming customer payments using accounting applications.
• Contact past due customers to collect balances.
• Assist with client profile information updates and onboarding.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies with customers.
• Escalate billing, payment, and collections issues as needed.
• Provide reporting on overall receivables and key customer concerns.
• Assist AR process improvements and success metrics related to payments.

ROLE

Symetri is growing at an unprecedented rate and we are interested in hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a head for numbers and strong analytical skills. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will report directly to the Controller and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Post incoming customer payments using our accounting applications
• Contact past due customers to collect balances. These are typically reminder calls and not hard collections - We experience very few unrecovered balances per year due to the high quality of our customers.
• Assist with client profile information updates and new customer onboarding
• Act as a liaison for customers to reconcile any billing discrepancies
• Escalate issues of billing, payment, collections and terms as needed
• Reporting on summary status of all receivables and primary customers of concern
• Assist with AR process improvement and customer success metrics related to payment terms

REQUIREMENTS

  • Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
  • General Accounting System - ERP - NetSuite
  • CRM System – Salesforce
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
• Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred
• 2+ years' related collections experience preferred
• Hands-on experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or accounts receivable clerk
