Apply customer payments daily and resolve unapplied cash and short-pays

Maintain customer credit files and flag credit risk to the Accounting Manager
Investigate, document, and resolve pricing, quantity, quality, and freight deductions
Escalate unresolved or high-value disputes to the Accounting Manager with documentation and a recommended resolution
Partner with plants and Customer Service to root-cause recurring issues and drive corrective action
Prepare AR subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations and support a timely month-end close
Prepare AR aging, DSO, and past-due reporting for Accounting Manager review
Propose reserve (allowance for doubtful accounts) recommendations for management approval
Support intercompany AR activity where applicable
Assist with audit requests, internal control (ICQ) testing, and supporting documentation
Identify opportunities to automate billing, cash application, and collections workflows
