Job summary

FreshDirect is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist in New York to manage incoming payments and maintain accurate records. You will bill customers, apply payments, and monitor overdue accounts while coordinating with sales, service, and accounting teams to resolve issues.

You’ll ensure timely cash flow, prepare aging reports, and support month-end close with precise documentation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with SAP and a CRM; proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end closing procedures.

The Role

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist who will be responsible for managing incoming payments, properly tracking them into the system, maintaining accurate financial records and outreach to customers for collection to bring accounts current. This role plays a key part in ensuring the company’s cash flow by monitoring outstanding invoices and following up with clients on overdue accounts.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred)
• 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP and a CRM)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good communication and customer service abilities

Salary

$57,000.00 – $67,000.00
