FreshDirect is seeking a Merchandising Analyst to join our Merchandising team in NYC. You will support new item setup, manage cost paperwork, and assist with data entry and master data changes to keep pricing and product records accurate.

The role emphasizes cross-functional project support, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about product sourcing, eCommerce strategies, and the grocery supply chain as we continue delivering fresh, quality experiences for customers.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Grocery Retail, eCommerce, or related industry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform varied administrative duties for their assigned function within Merchandising.
• Manage cost paperwork accuracy for category team, and provide to them for timeline entry into pricing system.
• Inputs new data into forms, and works with Master Data team to facilitate new item setup and any needed product Master Data changes.
• Processes changes to data required and maintains log of actions related to change.
• Maintains department records and files.
• As necessary, supports cross-functional projects such as holiday planning, eCommerce content planning, and other Merchandising initiatives.
• Corrects inaccurate data and maintains documentation of action or communication related to correction.

The Role

The Merchandising Analyst performs diverse tasks in the Merchandising department. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy new item setup paperwork for the category team, and managing the new item setup process. The Merchandising Supervisor must be highly organized and skilled in cross-functional work, as they will work to provide project management support for numerous critical Merchandising planning processes. This role supports a passionate team of food experts. The ideal candidate has an interest in learning about merchandising, including product sourcing and selection, eCommerce site selling strategies, and the grocery supply chain.

What You’ll Do

• Perform varied administrative duties for their assigned function within Merchandising.

• Assist with the validation of vendor submitted deals

What You’ll Bring

• Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
• Analytically-minded with strong organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and exceptional follow-through
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel
• 1 year of experience in Grocery Retail, eCommerce, or related industry

$70,000 – $75,000
