Job description

Our amazing finance team is growing and we’re looking for a highly motivated and driven Collections Specialist to join us in New York. This individual will be a key contributor to our cash collection efforts. In this role, communicating with customers by e-mail and phone regarding open invoices and balances as well as assisting internal stakeholders, such as Account Managers and the Billing Team.

Please note that this is a hybrid position of 3 days/week in our NYC office.

About The Role

In this role, you will be part of the global Accounts Receivable team and your main responsibilities will include:

  • Record accurate data and updates so that management can remain up to date with the collection efforts and assist with forecasting.
  • Manage an Accounts Receivable Balance and continuously strive for timely collections.
  • Update and sync all the relevant systems and teams to ensure the most efficient collection process.
  • Reconcile payments with customer open balances and organize refunds when required.
  • Communicate and help customers/internal stakeholders with questions regarding invoicing and open balances in a timely manner.
  • Continuously create improvements to our processes.
  • Assist with accounting month-end and quarter-end processes.
  • Support the finance team with any other functions where required.
Your Experience & Skills
  • 2+ years of collections/account receivables experience
  • Highly motivated and able to manage own workload independently and efficiently
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Capable of managing a variety of tasks and effectively assessing the priority and urgency of each.
  • Ability to work within a global team
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Please note that this role is on a hybrid model.

Compensation

For New York City-based hires only: Compensation Range: $65,000 - $85,000 base salary, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. In addition to base salary, the role includes opportunity to receive and/or earn a discretionary bonus and/or equity based on Company’s plans and in accordance with Company’s policies. Compensation finally awarded to the candidate will be commensurate with the candidate’s skills and experience.
