Job summary

The position requires 2+ years of AR experience, familiarity with aging reports, and strong Excel and accounting software skills. Healthcare experience, especially Home Health or Hospice, is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts receivable experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred; Home Health or Hospice a plus.
• Experience with payment posting, collections, reconciliations, and aging reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts receivable activities, including payment posting, reconciliations, and collections.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and billing issues.
• Maintain accurate financial records and account documentation.
• Work closely with billing, accounting, and operations teams to resolve outstanding accounts.
• Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Communicate with customers, insurance payers, and internal departments regarding account balances and payments.
• Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and collection efficiency.
