Alpha-Baking-Co., Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Collections Clerk in Chicago, IL to process payments, perform collections, and keep customer accounts accurate. You will research discrepancies, reconcile deductions, monitor aging, and support customers, brokers, and sales teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with accounting coursework preferred and prior AR experience. Strong organization and communication skills are essential for success in a fast-paced

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional accounting education preferred.
• Experience in accounts receivable required.
• Able to handle stressful situations and multi-task.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Apply customer payments in the accounting system promptly to keep customer accounts accurate.
• Make collection calls and follow up as needed.
• Research and resolve customer account discrepancies.
• Reconcile deductions for short shipments, damage, pricing, and other claims.
• Review and maintain the customer aging spreadsheet.
• Monitor customer credits and respond to inquiries.
• Provide customer service to customers, brokers, and sales.
• Inform the Manager of any problem accounts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
