Job summary

Tiger Fuel Co. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the AR team and our customers. You will process receipts, reconcile invoices to customer accounts (gallons, prices, taxes), and investigate discrepancies for resolution.

You will assist with month-end close, budget reconciliations, and the Tiger Card program as needed, while delivering best-in-class service and accurate financial information to management.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable or accounting functions preferred, with customer-facing experience valued.
• Associate’s in Accounting or business degree preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to convey financial info clearly to customers and management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Able to analyze information, solve problems, and work in team settings.
• Confident, collaborative, and open to feedback; quality-focused.

Responsibilities

Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for supporting Tiger Fuel Co.’s Accounts Receivable team and all of Tiger Fuel’s valuable customers. This position will be primarily engaged in receipts processing and invoice and customer account reconciliation.

• Retrieve customer payments from PO box and help sort internal and external mail
• Reconcile and post daily delivery invoices to customer accounts ensuring accuracy with gallons, prices, and taxes
• Perform customer account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and assist A/R Manager with customer account inquiries
• Manage Tiger Fuel Company’s budget program, to include monthly account reconciliations and annual settlement periods
• Support the management of the Tiger Card program, which is an internal fleet card for use at Tiger’s convenience store and wash locations
• Answer customer questions related to billing and general account inquiries
• Prepare account reconciliations as requested to assist with subsidiary and related-party accounting
• Develop a working knowledge of accounting software and internal processes and procedures
• Assist with month-end close processes
• Assist management with identifying areas for improvement and operational excellence
• Promote the “Tiger Way” and our cycle of success by building high quality relationships with employees, customers, and outside vendors.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• Experience working in Accounts Receivable, or accounting functions is preferred, with preference given to experience in customer-facing functions
• Associate’s in Accounting or other Business degree is preferred
• Cash handling experience is preferred
• Excellent customer service experience is required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to customers and management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel is preferred
