Job summary

Pilot Company in Knoxville, TN is seeking an entry-level to mid-level Accounts Receivable Specialist to perform routine accounting activities, maintain ledgers, and prepare financial reports for multiple locations. The position requires basic accounting knowledge, 1+ year experience, and strong Excel and accounting software skills, with a local presence in Knoxville. On-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in accounting or related area preferred.
• Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
• Data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, record, verify, analyze, and report receivable transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledger accounts, financial statements, and reports.
• Prepare analyses and reconciliations to detect fraud, data issues, and adjustments.
• Ensure transaction entry verification procedures are followed.
• Review and collect on direct bill or funded transaction; respond to inquiries from external companies.
• Maintain primary financial data for use in accounting records.
• Classify, compute, and record financial information.
• Check the accuracy of figures and calculations related to business transactions.
• Perform cash over short review for assigned store locations in month.
• When needed, assist in less structured tasks on top of general job responsibilities.

Job Description
