Jobot in Charlotte, NC seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist with a strong background in invoicing, cash application, credits, adjustments and rebates to support our fast‑growing sales team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years AR experience, excellent numerical skills, and excels at customer service and communication. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel is required; degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in accounts receivable.
• Strong knowledge of invoicing, cash application, credits, adjustments and rebates.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• A Finance or Accounting degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing the entire accounts receivable process, including creating and sending invoices, managing collections, and ensuring timely payments.
• Applying cash receipts to customer accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Processing credits, adjustments and rebates accurately and efficiently.
• Conducting account research and aging analyses; preparing aging reports.
• Communicating with customers regarding billing and payments and providing excellent service.
• Collaborating with the sales team to resolve issues and improve AR processes.
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.

Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. Our ideal candidate is a go-getter with a strong background in accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, cash application, credits, adjustments, and rebates.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities

• 1. Managing the entire accounts receivable process, including creating and sending out invoices, managing collection efforts, and ensuring timely payments.
• 2. Applying cash receipts to customer accounts and resolving any discrepancies in the accounting records.
• 3. Processing credits, adjustments, and rebates accurately and efficiently.
• 4. Conducting account research and analysis, and preparing aging reports.
• 5. Communicating with customers regarding their billing and payment issues and providing excellent customer service.
• 6. Collaborating with the sales team to resolve customer issues and improve the accounts receivable process.
• 7. Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounts receivable role, preferably in the sales industry.
• 2. Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, cash application, credits, adjustments, and rebates.
• 3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• 4. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• 5. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• 6. Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 8. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
