Job summary

Pauma Band Of Mission Indians in California is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance Department. Under CFO supervision, you will manage customer billing, receivables, cash receipts, deposits, and collections to ensure revenues are accurately recorded and reconciled to the general ledger.

You will work with the Controller, senior accountants, and tribal enterprises to resolve discrepancies, prepare aging reports, and support revenue reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Two+ years of accounts receivable, billing, and reconciliations experience.
• Experience in tribal government or multi-department organization preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic payments and POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and timely.
• Maintain customer accounts and AR balances.
• Post invoices, payments, credits, and other AR transactions.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Record and apply cash, checks, ACH, cards, and other payments.
• Prepare daily deposits and reconcile revenue activity.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and audits.
