Qualifications

  • Knowledge of third-party payer procedures and government reimbursement is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS and medical terminology is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages processes and systems; assists with contracts and financial modeling.
  • Coordinate enrollment and managed care plan participation for physicians.
  • Resolve payor issues and follow up on insurance denials with payors.
  • Serve as liaison between physician offices and insurance payors.
  • Schedule and document PHO meetings; maintain tracking logs for payor issues.
  • Oversee PHO phone line and ensure timely responses; maintain attendance and punctuality.

Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding and Medical Terminology and Collections. Proficient in uses of computerized registration and billing systems and personal computers, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to identify trends with regard to third party payer denials and proactively problem solve.
