Job summary

Carlock Automotive Group seeks an Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk to manage invoicing, payments, and cash flow across multiple dealerships. You will prepare and verify invoices, monitor delinquent accounts, and assist with financial reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s in accounting and 1–5 years of related experience, with strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills, plus solid writing and data-entry abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree required; 1–5 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required.
• Administrative writing, organization, data entry, math, and thorough reporting skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by sorting documents and information.
• Pay invoices by verifying details, disbursements, and payment authorization.
• Prepare and mail invoices; identify delinquent accounts and short payments.
• Collect revenue by notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Prepare financial reports by analyzing account information and trends.
• Maintain ledgers by posting transactions and reconciling statements.
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Investigate discrepancies and issue adjustments or stop payments.
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Back up data bases to protect information.
• Archive financial records and support team as needed.

Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk

Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven and experienced Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Pay invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
• Obtain revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
• Collect revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Secure financial information by completing data base backups.
• Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree required and 1-5 years of public accounting and/or industry experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook is required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (Including Driver's License)
