Job summary

Capital Automotive Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. The role requires strong numerical ability, organization, and a detail-oriented mindset within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have prior AP experience, solid accounting knowledge, proficient data entry, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. CDK software experience is a bonus, and background checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar accounting role.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with data entry.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers and standard business applications.
• CDK software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date accounts payable records.
• Review and verify invoices, payment details, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment-related questions.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions at month-end.
• Assist with preparing financial reports related to accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards.
• Stay current on accounting practices and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
