Johnson Electric invites applications for an Accounts Receivable Intern in Plymouth, Michigan. This 4-month, full-time role supports the AR department across North America, handling invoicing, collections, and data reporting.
You will gain hands-on experience in reconciliations, reporting, and compliance, while working with Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Engineering, and global teams. A BA/BA or pursuing accounting or finance degree is preferred.

Pay Range: $17-$22 per hour
Duration: January to April 2027

The AR Intern will support the AR Department processes and collections for Johnson Electric North America.

Investigate invoices not paid including following up with external and internal customers
Tracking and reporting regarding samples
Reconcile customer accounts
Assist with assembling data to support various reporting to management including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits
Assist with audit requests both internal and external
Communication and work cross functionally with other groups including Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Engineering, and headquarters in Hong Kong.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or currently pursuing a degree with expected graduation within the next year.
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Microsoft Excel Proficiency - experience with bringing data together from different systems into excel spread sheets, and perform variance analysis.
Experience using Oracle and Salesforce software (preferred)
