Job summary

Johnson Electric Group in Plymouth, Michigan is offering an Accounts Receivable Intern role for January through April 2027. The position pays $17–$22 per hour and is full-time with no relocation.

The intern will assist in invoicing, collections, reconciliation, and data support for management reporting, while coordinating with Sales, Quality, and Engineering teams, including HQ in Hong Kong. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance or are pursuing one with expected graduation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or currently pursuing with graduation within the next year.
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency; ability to consolidate data from multiple systems and perform variance analysis.
• Experience using Oracle and Salesforce (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate unpaid invoices and follow up with external and internal customers.
• Track and report regarding samples.
• Reconcile customer accounts.
• Assemble data to support monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
• Maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits.
• Assist with audit requests both internal and external.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Engineering, and HQ in Hong Kong.
