Job summary

FCC Environmental Services is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our centralized collections team. You will manage overdue accounts across markets, reconcile customer records, and track repayment progress while maintaining positive customer relationships.

This role supports cash flow and accounts receivable across residential, commercial, and municipal clients. You will interact with customers in diverse markets, address inquiries, and negotiate repayment plans in line with company

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and terminology.
• Experience with debt collection processes and standards.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with customers.
• Knowledge of FDCPA and applicable debt collection laws.
• Experience with SAP or similar accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between FCC Environmental Services and customers across markets, managing overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts, identify overdue payments, and address discrepancies.
• Track and report collection activities and repayment progress to management.
• Address billing inquiries and payment status issues, offering suitable solutions.
• Develop and negotiate repayment plans or settlements per policy.
• Maintain detailed records of communications and actions.
