Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of FDCPA, FERPA and Accounts Receivable applications.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations concerning delinquent accounts.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and collection laws.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to compose effective collection correspondence.
  • Experience with automated financial systems.
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical computations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assignment, accounting, and tracking of past due university accounts.
  • Finalize accounts with the Department of Taxation.
  • Perform assignment of Perkins loans.
  • Provide a central point of communication for collection agencies and internal staff.
