Job summary

LHH is seeking an Accounting Clerk with a focus on Accounts Receivable for a contract role in the Western Suburbs of Portland, OR. The position supports the finance team during a busy period, handling customer payments, maintaining records, and assisting with deductions, returns, and other accounting tasks.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in AR, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and experience with an ERP system.

Qualifications

• Issues with accounts receivable; detail oriented and organized.
• Experience in a distribution, e-commerce, wholesale, supply chain, or similar industries preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Experience working within an ERP system
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounts receivable processing and customer account activity
• Apply customer payments accurately and research payment discrepancies
• Collect, organize, and maintain deduction documentation
• Process deduction requests and support resolution efforts
• Monitor returns activity and maintain related records and supporting documentation
• Enter financial data into the ERP system and verify accuracy
• Assist with account reconciliations and transaction reviews
• Maintain accurate records for invoices, payments, deductions, credits, and returns
• Support customer portal activity and account maintenance
• Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve routine accounting issues
• Assist with additional accounting functions, including accounts payable support
