Job summary

Midsouth Steel LLC seeks an organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to support daily accounting and billing operations in a fast-paced construction environment. You'll manage contract setup, post cash receipts, generate AR aging reports, prepare invoices, and assist with lien releases and month-end close, while maintaining accurate customer files and strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in Excel and PDF handling, and the ability to multitask and work independently are essential for success in

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and collection regulations.
Experience with accounts receivable processes and client communications.
Proficiency in Excel and PDF editing for documentation.

Responsibilities

Set up Job/Contract into Vista Viewpoint ERP.
Review change orders and schedules of values in Vista Viewpoint.
Code, post, and reconcile daily cash receipts.
Maintain and update customer files with changes to names or addresses.
Prepare weekly and bi-weekly AR aging reports and pursue payments on 60+ day invoices.
Generate monthly billing worksheets and submit invoices to customers.
Assist with lien releases and lower-tier lien processing.
Support month-end close and reconcile accounts with the Accounting Manager.
