Job summary

Aston Carter seeks an Accounting Specialist to generate and distribute invoices, process payments, and apply them to customer accounts. Proficiency in QuickBooks and collaboration with project managers and office staff ensure accurate billing.

The role is onsite in Gretna, NE, with a Monday–Friday schedule, offering 40–45 hours per week, a 401(k) with matching, health insurance, and generous PTO. Salary ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour for a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Familiarity with invoicing and progress billing.
• Ability to reconcile checking accounts, credit card accounts, and vendor statements.
• Experience in bookkeeping and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Process incoming payments and apply payments to customer accounts.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and establish payment arrangements when necessary.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial and customer records within QuickBooks.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
• Work closely with project managers and office staff to ensure billing accuracy.
• Prepare accounts receivable reports for management review.
• Support additional accounting and administrative functions as needed.
