Cassia is a nonprofit, mission-driven senior care organization based in Edina, MN, seeking an Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist to join our growing team. The role focuses on Medicare A, Managed Care, and Medicaid billing, with experience in healthcare and Medical Assistance billing preferred.

Based at our Edina corporate office, you will work with Cassia's AR software, Excel, and spreadsheet formulations in a collaborative, resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years healthcare billing experience; skilled nursing facility billing experience preferred.
• Experience with Medicare A, Managed Care, Medicaid billing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Complete Care Center and Assisted Living billing and collection.
• Post cash and ancillaries to accounts accurately and timely.
• Generate private pay statements.
• Generate claims and submit to payers correctly and promptly.
• Perform all collections for assigned payers to ensure timely payments.
• Manage days outstanding for facilities to meet organizational requirements.
• Identify billing issues causing delays and correct them.
• Perform closing functions timely and accurately.
• Utilize DDE, MN-ITS, Excel, and payer websites.
• Meet deadlines and participate in committees and staff training.

Job description

Cassia, a nonprofit, senior living organization, is hiring an Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist to join our growing team! Based at our Edina, MN corporate office, you will enjoy a welcoming environment with supportive leadership and a friendly team who are dedicated to the well‑being of our residents.

Position Type: Full‑Time

Pay Range: $45,000 to $60,000 / year depending on experience.

Location: 7171 Ohms Lane, Edina, MN 55439

In this vital role, you'll focus on billing for Medicare A, Managed Care, and Medicaid. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in both healthcare and Medical Assistance billing. In addition to using Cassia's AR software, you will also need Excel knowledge and knowledge on creating spreadsheets and formula usage.

Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist reports to the Director of Reimbursement.

Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities:

• Complete Care Center and Assisted Living billing and collection.
• Postcash and ancillaries to accounts accurately and timely.
• Generate private pay statements.
• Generateclaims and submit them timely and accurately to all the payers responsible for.
• Performall collection for payers assigned to ensure timely payments.
• Manage days outstanding for all facilities assigned to meet organization’s requirements.
• Determineif there are billing issues causing payment delays and correct them.
• Performall closing functions timely and accurately.
• Understandand is accomplished in using the following systems: DDE, MN-ITS, Excel, Third Party payer websites.
• Meetdeadlines as assigned by manager.
• Participatein internal committees and meetings.
• Participatein staff training programs.
• Performother duties as assigned.

Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist Qualifications:

• Must have 1+ years of healthcare billing experience, skilled nursing facility billing experience preferred.
• Must haveMedicare A, Managed Care, Medicaid billing experience.
• Great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
