Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Billing Manager to lead end-to-end AR and billing operations in a high-volume environment. You will partner with AR, Cash Application, and Collections to ensure accurate invoicing and timely close, while driving process improvements and automation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent.
• 5–10+ years in AR and Billing with leadership experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and control-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily AR billing operations and coordinate with AR, Cash Application, and Collections.
• Oversee high-volume invoicing for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Billing Ops and Sales for efficient billing and issue resolution.
• Align billing with revenue recognition policies in partnership with Revenue Accounting.
• Review complex billing files and related integrations for accuracy.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Drive process improvements to increase scalability and automation.
• Develop KPIs to monitor AR performance and surface action items.
• Coach and develop team members; promote accountability and collaboration.
• Support SOX, audit, and internal controls; contribute to cash forecasting.
