Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for a busy industrial company in Arlington. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with professional experience incustomer invoicing, purchase order processing, and account reconciliation.The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring the accuracy of customer accounts and billing records.

This is a fulltime, permanent position with day shift hours Monday- Friday. Pay is $25 - $30 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and process customer purchase orders (POs).
• Verify billing information and ensure invoices meet customer requirements.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Conduct friendly and professional B2B collections activities through phone calls, emails, and account follow-up.
• Create and process customer invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with customers to resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account questions.
• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate account records.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records of customer communications and payment activity.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and account updates using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Organize, scan, file, and maintain electronic and paper records.
• Support the accounting and management teams with administrative and accounting-related tasks.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy in all financial recordkeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; accounting coursework or related education preferred.
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeping, or related accounting experience.
• Experience with customer invoicing, purchase order processing, and payment application.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable procedures, billing practices, and account reconciliation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
