Job summary

Colonial Group in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Accounts Receivable Analyst to independently analyze customer accounts, resolve complex issues, and improve cash flow accuracy. You will partner with stakeholders to mitigate risks and ensure AR data integrity, while driving process improvements and automation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3+ years in AR or credit, strong Excel skills, and ERP experience (SAP a plus).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience analyzing and resolving complex customer account issues and reconciliations.
Working knowledge of financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment.
Experience with an ERP system.

Responsibilities

Independently analyze and resolve customer account issues, payment discrepancies, deductions, disputed balances, and other Accounts Receivable escalated issues.
Monitor and analyze customer risk independently and recommend mitigation actions to management.
Analyze AR reporting (aging, DSO, cash, trends) and identify root causes with leadership.
Serve as AR control owner on assigned controls and oversee unclaimed property review and annual filing.
Identify and lead process improvements and automation initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate with 3rd party trade reporting services and other AR/credit vendors.
Review and approve refund requests per DOA.
