Job summary

Staples in Framingham, MA is seeking an Analyst, Accounts Receivable to join the Finance team. You will manage a specialized portfolio, partner with customers and internal teams to resolve issues and help improve cash flow while delivering a positive customer experience.

You will collect cash on open accounts, investigate discrepancies, negotiate payment plans, and provide ad hoc reports to internal partners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in accounts receivable, accounting, finance operations, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, filters) and ERP familiarity (Oracle, SAP or NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Collect cash for open accounts receivable and follow up with customers until payment resolution.
• Research AR issues, reconcile remittances, and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
• Minimize bad-debt write-offs and maximize cash receipts while balancing customer needs.
• Provide ad hoc reports and statements to internal and external customers.
• Negotiate payment plans or settlements for past-due balances within guidelines.
