Job summary

The National Association of Home Builders in Washington, DC is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to ensure accurate, timely AR processing and reporting. This full-time role collaborates with Finance to support audits and billing inquiries. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of AR experience, solid knowledge of full-cycle accounting, and proficiency in Excel.

Hybrid schedule includes in-office three days and remote two days. Sage Intacct and related systems experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of full-cycle accounting principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
  • Experience with Aptify and Momentus is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Process cash receipts and customer payments.
  • Prepare and distribute invoices accurately and timely.
  • Manage collections and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Process tenant billings.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Generate management reports related to accounts receivable activities.
  • Assist with year-end audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for audit requests.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all Accounts Receivable transactions.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding billing and payments.
  • Collaborate with Finance team members on special projects and process improvements.
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions while supporting the organization's financial operations.

The Accounts Receivable Analyst will manage cash receipts, invoicing, collections, tenant billings, account reconciliations, and reporting. This position also plays an important role in supporting the annual audit process and collaborating with internal departments to resolve billing and payment inquiries.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work Arrangement & Application Instructions
