Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accounting Assistant to join our growing team. This role supports daily cash posting, research of misapplied funds, and handling credit resolutions to ensure accurate customer balances.

You will assist with past due collections, cancelation processing, and collaborate with agents and underwriting to resolve discrepancies. Strong MS Office skills and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Posting daily cash deposits received in a variety of ways (EPAY/ACH/Lockbox/Checks).
• Research and proper posting of misapplied/unapplied funds.
• Research and resolve credits on account either through proper application or refund processing.
• First outreach regarding past due/bad debt collections.
• Assist with DNOC/Cancellation processing and follow-ups.
• Applying and contacting agents and/or underwriting with discrepancies.
• Assists with corrections and day-to-day accounting issues with underwriting teams.
• Answer questions from agents regarding balances and work with them on getting issues resolved.
• Cross-trained accounting functions to help fill-in covering vacations, illness, or any other absence.
