Job summary

Plastipak in Plymouth, MI seeks an Accounts Receivable Accountant to learn every aspect of our AR function, including daily invoicing, cash application, rebate accruals, and related processes. You will collaborate with plants, marketing, and customers to ensure accurate invoicing and timely cash flow.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in accounting or finance, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Entry-level with internships or up to 2 years experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Post-process lockbox payments and apply in-house payments; investigate issues to fully and accurately apply cash to customer accounts and invoices.
• Invoice sales orders by coordinating with plants and marketing to resolve billing issues and issuing online memos.
• Analyze and prepare reports for auditors, customers, and Plastipak internal users.
• Analyze and track rebates and accruals.
