Job summary

Humboldt State University seeks an Accounting Technician II in Accounts Payable to support a wide range of financial and administrative tasks. The role reports to the Associate Director of Contracts, Procurement and Accounts Payable and involves processing payments, auditing invoices, and maintaining card programs.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to three years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience.
• Ability to review financial documents for accuracy, completeness, validity, and adherence to standards; compute and post numbers rapidly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers via phone, email, and in person; research and respond to inquiries in collaboration with team members.
• Audit payments against invoices to ensure accuracy before processing.
• Print checks and ensure proper handling and secure distribution; apply appropriate payment methods (ACH/EFT or credit card).
• Audit and administer US Bank procurement and travel cards; maintain records of all card applications and acknowledgments.
• Assist in administration of travel auditing and Concur Travel & Expense processes.
• Maintain AP Inbox, internal desk procedures, and support staff onboarding and training.
