Job summary

The City of Austin, via Austin Water, seeks an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the accounts payable function, ensuring timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintaining accurate records and reports. The role supports the Utility Supply Chain Division and requires strong time management and supervisory skills.

Pay range: $30.70 - $38.37 per hour. Location: Waller Creek Center, 625 E 10th St, Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required plus two years of related experience, one year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Experience may substitute for education up to four years.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow of staff to ensure timely preparation, review, and approval of payment disbursements.
• Ensure invoices and expenses are processed accurately and timely.
• Reconcile general ledger clearing accounts and coordinate with other departments.
• Provide policy training and guidance on accounts payable procedures.
