Job summary

The State of Maine is seeking an Accounts Payable Processor Supervisor in Augusta within the DHHS Financial Service Center. This full-time role supervises the Accounts Payable Team, handling client accounting activities and ensuring timely and accurate processing.

The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience, knowledge of GAAP/GASB, and strong accounting reconciliations abilities, in a dynamic public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of accounting practices and controls.
• Knowledge of GAAP/GASB, accounting data analysis, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a unit within the Accounts Payable Team responsible for client fiscal activities, including maintenance and payment processing.
• Provide supervision and direction for the team, assigning, instructing, and monitoring work to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Review transactions for accuracy and proper documentation to ensure compliance with procedures, policies, and applicable laws.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes, resolve issues and achieve department goals.
• Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service, ethics, and a collaborative environment.
