Role: Account Payable Supervisor

Duration: Permanent

Location: Queens, New York 11101

Job Overview:

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial policies and procedures. This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various departments.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and mentor accounts payable staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
2. Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. Manage vendor relationships and the supplier portal, addressing inquiries or disputes professionally.
4. Oversee reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and meet month-end deadlines.
5. Prepare reports on accounts payable metrics, including aging analysis and cash flow forecasts.
6. Coordinate with other departments to resolve invoicing or payment discrepancies.
7. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal controls (e.g., W-9, 1099s, audits).
8. Implement and maintain processes to improve accounts payable efficiency.
9. Train new team members on policies, procedures, and systems.
