Job summary

AMBRION in the Twin Cities is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to head a growing AP team within a private equity–backed global manufacturing organization. You will guide process improvements, develop the team, and help drive efficiencies across the business.

The role covers end-to-end AP, from invoice receipt to settlement, collaborating with procurement and operations, and delivering reporting to senior management. Based in Minnesota, relocation is possible for strong candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct accounts payable operations to ensure accurate vendor invoice processing and disbursements
• Oversee the end-to-end payment lifecycle from invoice receipt through approval and settlement
• Partner with procurement and operational leads to investigate purchase order matching discrepancies
• Review vendor statement reconciliations and resolve supplier account inquiries
• Enforce adherence to corporate payment approval policies and internal control guidelines
• Generate monthly accounts payable analytics, cash disbursement forecasts, and management reports
• Support finance leadership with AP schedule reconciliations during month-end close cycles
• Deliver cash outlay analysis to senior management for corporate liquidity planning
• Align cross-functional workflows between sales, operations, and accounting to eliminate process bottlenecks
• Coordinate documentation requests and technical responses for external audit evaluations
• Optimize accounts payable software workflows, control procedures, and industry best practices
• Lead a team of accounts payable specialists through daily coaching and performance monitoring
• Cultivate a collaborative culture focused on operational accuracy and high performance
• Conduct technical training programs to drive ongoing professional development across the team

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary Range: $80,000–$90,000
• This role is also eligible for various benefits, including: Medical Insurance

Actual base salary will be determined based on an individual's experience, skills, education, certifications, credentials, special skills, accomplishments, and other factors relevant to the position.

This role is based in the Twin Cities. Applicants must currently reside in Minnesota or are planning to relocate to Minnesota in the near future.
