Bison Oil & Gas IV, LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant in Denver, CO to manage day-to-day payable activities, code invoices, prepare payments, and support month-end close. You will collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate AP records while upholding strong internal controls.

The role requires 3+ years of AP experience in oil and gas, proficiency in Excel, and experience with AP systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounts payable and/or oil and gas invoice coding experience.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, procedures, and internal controls.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger coding.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and timely.
• Review, code, and route invoices for appropriate approval.
• Verify invoice coding, supporting documentation, and approvals prior to payment.
• Prepare payment requests for checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Assist with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with setup and outreach.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure proper coding and approvals.
