Cochran is seeking an Accounting Specialist in Seattle, WA to deliver financial, clerical, and administrative support ensuring timely processing of payable and receivable entries. You will handle invoices, deposits, audits, and vendor communications.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong organizational skills, and experience with MS Office and accounting software. This role offers a competitive pay range and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Strong math and reasoning skills; ability to interpret written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices; enter data into Vista; link documents.
• Manage unapproved invoice queue; research discrepancies with PMs, assistants, and vendors.
• Download invoices from vendor sites; process and make online payments as needed.
• Scan invoices into Document Management; ensure front/back and multi-page capture.
• Respond to PO and invoice inquiries from coworkers and vendors.
• Process Concur expense reports.
• Assist with audit prep and documentation.
• Answer team phones; additional duties as assigned.
• Process daily deposits and post deposits; maintain deposit logs.
• Research and process chargebacks, returns, and bad checks.
• Communicate with internal/external customers to resolve pre-collection issues; escalate as needed.
• Verify account discrepancies and invoice payment claims.
• Email invoice copies/statements; monitor AR inbox.
• Coordinate intercompany AR communication; setup new customer accounts; perform monthly audits.
