Job summary

Midco is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support accounts payable by ensuring invoices, payments, and vendor records are processed under established procedures with guidance from senior staff. You will contribute to financial operations and uphold company policies.

You will help maintain strong vendor relationships, assist internal stakeholders, and ensure timely payment processing while upholding a commitment to service excellence and financial accuracy across the organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• Experience with accounts payable, invoicing, and vendor records is valued.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support all entry-level accounts payable activities by indexing, reviewing, and routing vendor invoices; assist with electronic payments and check runs; maintain records; and complete related administrative tasks per procedures.
• Assist in reviewing and processing invoices and payables vouchers ensuring accurate coding, proper authorization, and documentation.
• Work with senior staff to recognize deviations from basic accounting practices and assist with appropriate action.
• Assist with writing Standard Operating Procedures for the payables process.
• Sort and process mail, manage correspondence, and perform other administrative duties.
• Review daily electronic funds transfers and check payments for accuracy and efficiency.
