Midco is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support accounts payable operations by processing invoices, payments, and vendor records under established procedures with guidance from senior staff. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of office, administrative, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, billing, or related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately enter and review data.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support entry-level accounts payable activities by indexing, reviewing, and routing vendor invoices; assist with electronic payments and check runs; maintain records; and complete related administrative tasks.
• Assist in reviewing and processing invoices and payables vouchers ensuring accurate coding, proper authorization, and documentation.
• Work with senior staff to learn deviations from basic accounting practices and assist with actions.
• Assist with writing Standard Operating Procedures for the payables process.
• Sort and process mail, manage correspondence, and perform other administrative duties.
• Review daily electronic funds transfers and checks for accuracy and correct vendor payments.
• Understand and assist in the complete payables cycle: reviewing, processing, mailing, and filing.
• Assist with maintaining vendor W-9 information on all vendors.
