Job summary

Pro-Tops Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage all payable activities, ensuring accurate invoice processing and timely payments. You will interface with vendors and internal teams to maintain strong relationships and precise coding in our accounting system.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, at least 3 years of AP experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks. This full-time role is based in Charlotte, NC with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficient in using QuickBooks for payables and coding.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Enter invoice details into QuickBooks with high accuracy and proper coding.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare and process electronic payments (checks, ACH) following terms and policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized AP records and assist in financial reporting.
• Support month-end closing with accurate AP data and timely deliverables.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and company policies.
