Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing is assisting a Burlington, MA area client in finding an Accounts Payable Accountant (Staff Accountant) for an on-site, contract-to-hire role. The position pays $32–$35/hr, depending on experience, with a long-term opportunity and potential conversion to permanent employment.

Responsibilities include processing vendor invoices, PO matching, payments, reconciliations, and supporting month-end close, audits, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience, including experience in a GAAP accounting environment.
• Experience in the distribution industry.
• Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Processing vendor invoices and credit memos, including PO matching.
• Preparing vendor payments and reconciling statements.
• Maintaining vendor records and documentation.
• Assisting with month-end close, AP reconciliations, and process improvements.
