Job summary

Topgolf in Dallas, TX is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. You will process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and support the day-to-day activities of AP while collaborating with operations and other departments.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of GAAP, strong data entry and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of basic accounting principles with prior work experience in Accounts Payable
• Familiarity working in a high-volume and inventory-intensive environment
• Demonstrated spreadsheet, word processing, and data entry PC proficiency
• Strong mathematical aptitude with experience and proficiency working with numbers
• Strong detail orientation with a high degree of accuracy in work
• Ability to multi-task and to function effectively and positively within a team environment
• Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner

Responsibilities

• Process and pay invoices within agreed-upon terms, including intercompany invoices
• Follow up with vendors or internal stakeholders when additional information is needed to complete payment
• Monitor invoices in queue and exceptions to identify performance and/or system issues
• Build strong vendor relationships by resolving questions and discrepancies quickly and clearly
• Investigate statements and collection letters and contacts vendors when necessary to resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines
• Works closely with the accounting and operations teams to maintain accurate financial records
