Job summary

Hunt Regional Healthcare seeks an Accounts Payable professional to manage full-cycle AP processing, invoice audits, and timely payments in a compliant, controlled environment. You will handle vendor setup, W9/1099 compliance, and attention to remittance details to maximize discounts and minimize penalties.

Responsibilities include researching discrepancies, managing the AP mailbox, and coordinating with Purchasing to resolve PO/invoice issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of full cycle automated AP experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of W9 and 1099 requirements.
• Display attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
• Able to multitask and work independently

Responsibilities

• Review and process all invoices in accordance with company policy and requirements.
• Audits transactions prior to payment to ensure accuracy.
• Perform Vendor maintenance tasks: submit sanctions check, register new vendors in AP system, verify remittance and EFT/ACH info and 1099 data, including W9.
• Research and resolve problems with internal and external customers.
• Submit positive pay files to the bank after every check run.
• Work with Purchasing to resolve PO, invoice, payment, or document discrepancies.
• Ensure discounts are taken and penalties minimized.
• Monitor utility bills for timely payment and accurate coding.
• Monitor AP mailbox and respond promptly to emails.
• Prevent duplicate invoices by thorough review.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by AP Manager
